ON CRIMES OF LOVE

I found “Crimes of Love” impossible to put down. Started your novel yesterday afternoon and turned the last page this morning. Congratulations on an amazing, intriguing, perfect “work of art.” Storytelling at its finest! ~Natalie

Reading it was rewarding. Like all good writing that leads us down dark paths, it is, in the end, life-affirming. The last chapter was like fireworks for me.  ~Jeff T

Really fast-paced and full of tricks! I read a lot of this genre and am pretty good at playing detective, but you had me stumped. Kept wondering were the young people were going to play into the central plot, but didn’t see it coming. Also liked the Martin Preuss character and his thoughtful, careful detecting. . . . Very good work. I enjoyed it and look forward to your next one. ~Ann B

It’s rare that I find a book that I just can’t put down. This book fit the bill. From the opening chapter to the poignant denouement, the reader is swept along with Detective Preuss while he searches for answers to the disappearance of a little girl. The story was gripping, but more importantly, the characters are realistically drawn so that they seem to be people we know or could know. Martin Preuss is a man of depth and character, but flawed in a way that makes him accessible. His relationship with his disabled son is immensely touching and informs his character in a way that the reader never loses sight of. Can’t wait to read the next Martin Preuss mystery. ~Franny B
